d’Vijff Vlieghen

Probably my favourite Dutch restaurant in Amsterdam, d’Vijff Vlieghen (which translates to The Five Flies) offers a remarkable experience of classic Dutch cuisine in a stunning, canal-side setting. The building is a fascinating maze of dining rooms, each with unique character and rich history, creating an ambiance that feels both intimate yet impressive.

The menu is on the pricier side compared to most of my recommendations, but it’s well worth it for a celebratory night out. I highly recommend the beef tenderloin—it’s exceptional.

Definitely book in advance.
