Coffee & cake
Amsterdam is a haven for cafes serving traditional Dutch treats like pancakes, muffins, waffles, and apple pies. With its international vibe, there’s also a growing demand for top-quality coffee, and local roasters brewing world-class blends are popping up all over the city. With so many options to choose from, here are some of my favourite spots to try!
1. Back to Black
For excellent coffee, a relaxed atmosphere, and delicious homemade snacks, visit one of the two Black to Black locations. Founded by two Dutch women with a passion for sustainable coffee production, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a cup of ethically sourced coffee.
